Beyond Notting Hil

After Notting Hill and Portobello Rd I just kept walking in a direction I had not gone before. A police officer told me the best way to see a city is to get lost in it. I can’t say I really want to get myself lost, but I do like the idea of just taking off and seeing where my eyes and feet take me.

using maps on my iPad

looking for blue badges

Gorgeous homes around every corner

Private hidden parks I was not allowed to enter.

Cafes, restaurants and food stores:

where Princess Diana escaped to have tea

Jamie Oliver’s

where i finally found some Bakers coconut to make macaroons

And then I made my way through Hyde Park and back to Victoria station and my home base of Brookehowse Rd. It was another great day and it didn’t rain!
