Beach trip

I noticed the weather was going to be dry and sunny at the Oregon coast on Tuesday and Wednesday so I decided I needed to go. I wasn’t ready for such warm temperatures and happily discovered I didn’t need my jacket on the beach. It was gorgeous.

I chose highway 18 to the coast and then made my way north to Astoria, stopping at Cape Kiwanda and Arcadia along the way. I spent the night in Astoria and made it to the Peter Iredale ship wreck just before the night sky took over.

I set my pinhole camera up in the window of my hotel room and let it go for most of the night. Hope I got something. I had a perfect view of the Astoria bridge, but there was a street lamp that may ruin my exposure.

The next day I walked along the waterfront in Astoria and made 6 photos in my Harman Titan 4×5 pinhole camera. Can’t wait to see how they turned out.

(these photos were snapped with my iPhone. I also exposed 5 rolls of film, pinhole and Hasselblad. I will post those after they are developed and scanned)
