Winter 2014, part 2

It’s transition time as we go from snow to ice. Freezing rain fell on Portland Sunday. A thin layer coated the snow, but with cleats on my boots it was almost easier walking than it was Friday and Saturday in  the deep snow. The sled runs are faster and the air is warmer.

Schools are still closed on Monday, but we are warming up. I hate to see it go. It’s fun to see neighbors come out to play because most of the time we all hibernate in the winter and slowly emerge from our homes in the Spring.

It was also easier to build snowmen and ice caves with the crunchy snow.

By mid-week our temperatures will be in the 50’s. It will feel almost balmy.

I took several rolls of film with my Hasselblad and Canon AE1 and will share after they are developed.
