It’s Spring in Portland, part 1

What marks the beginning of Spring for me is the blooming of the cherry trees along the Willamette River in downtown Portland. I spent last Sunday afternoon and evening photographing them…..along with a few other people. It’s a popular destination for the photo-enthused. I managed go through 2-1/2 rolls of 120 film in my Hasselblad and can’t wait to pick up my prints on Friday. So for now I must leave you with some digital exposures to whet your appetite for the film to come.

The trees were in full bloom on Sunday, but I’m going back this week to catch some blossoms as they float to the ground. I love watching these flowers as they go through their short life each Spring.
