Seaside Spring break

Hi doggie
Thought I’d drive to Seaside to find some interesting photos of people on the beach. However, there were hardly any people there. The weather wasn’t sunny but it wasn’t all that bad either and I thought that Spring break would bring the families out in droves. Not so.
Seaside is kind of seedy, in a way. It’s not the most beautiful beach, just sand and water, no tide pools or interesting rock outcroppings. It’s the people who make it interesting. They come here to build sand castles and visit the shops and arcades along the main street. So I was surprised that the crowds were so small.
Still I had a fun day first driving through snow, then seeing Hug Point and low tide, wandering around Seaside and finishing up at Astoria to visit the wonderful Light Box Photographic Gallery. If you are in Astoria stop by the gallery and you will be impressed by the beautiful works displayed there.
