To the beach

snowy drive to the coast

still snow in March

rocks revealed in a minus tide

minus tide at Hug Point
It’s Spring break in Oregon and so I thought I’d take a drive to the Oregon coast. It was supposed to be dry and partly sunny so imagine my surprise when I ran in to a winter wonderland on highway 26 near the summit. +I don’t like driving in  snow so I drove as fast as I could and snapped photos out my car’s window. It’s rather late in the year for snow but I have to admit it was pretty.
There was a minus tide this morning and so I left home really early to get to Hug Point in time to be able to walk around the points. usually I get there and the tide is in too far. Well, the internet must not have adjusted for DST because they were off by an hour. I was able to see quite a bit, but the tide was coming in again after only an hour. Guess I’ll have to go back.
More to follow as I continued to Seaside hoping to catch people out on the beach enjoying themselves.
